Good news for those who can’t decide between a Fiat 500C convertible or the hot Abarth 500: Fiat’s in-house tuning wing revealed it’s launching a model that combines the two -- the Abarth 500C -- at the 2010 Geneva motor show.
It'll be the first convertible for the modern "house of the scorpion" and although Abarth is mum on its details, we do know that it will arrive in the European and Japanese markets in a few months.
If the standard 500 Abarth is any indication, the 500C will likely use the same 1.4-liter turbocharged I-4, making 135 horsepower and 152 pound-feet of torque. Power travels to the front 17-inch aluminum wheels via a five-speed transmission. Suspension calibration, of course, is revised, allowing for more spirited driving. The interior sports bolstered bucket seats, racing-derived pedals, instruments, and Abarth emblems.
