2009 Mazda 6 Pricing Announced

As we've already told you, Mazda has given its new 6 more power, room, and style. All that can be yours for half a grand less than the outgoing model. Pricing for the four-cylinder i models starts at $19,220, while a V-6 s will cost a minimum of $24,800. Alaska residents will have to add an extra $45 to these prices because of a higher destination fee. Mazda has not yet divulged the pricing of the full lineup or individual options. The car will be offered with either a 170-hp, 2.5-liter I-4 or a 272-hp, 3.7-liter V-6 engine in four trim levels: SV, Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring. Wagon and hatchback variants are eliminated from the U.S. lineup, leaving only the four-door sedan for 2009. Four-cylinder cars can be had with either a standard six-speed manual transmission, or a five-speed auto with manual shift mode. All V-6 cars get a six-speed automatic with manual shift mode. The 2009 Mazda 6 will be arriving at dealers in August of 2008.
