In spite of the multitude of changes seen on the 2009 Honda Pilot, pricing for the Accord-based SUV hasn't changed much from its precursor.
Base front-wheel drive Pilot LX models sticker for $28,320, including a $635 destination charge - precisely the same sticker price carried by the outgoing 2008 SE (or base) model. Customers interested in all-wheel drive will have to pony up more cash, as the LX AWD starts at $29,830.
EX models, adding extra content like alloy wheels and an upgraded stereo, start at $31,030 for front-drive models; $32,620 if you want all four wheels driven. EX-L models, complete with leather seats and moonroof, go for $34,320; AWD models for $35,830.
If that's not swanky enough, try the new Pilot Touring trim level, which throws in goodies like a satellite-based navigation system as standard fare. Pricing begins at $37,430 for front-drive models; $39,030 for AWD models.
Regardless of trim level, Pilots come standard with a 250-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 with cylinder deactivation, power locks and windows, ABS, stability control and front-curtain airbags. Seeing as deliveries are slated to start tomorrow, look for the 2009 Pilot to soon arrive at a Honda dealer near you - that is, if it's not there already.
