2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Research the 2007 Ford Explorer

Go
When a new Ford Explorer arrives, a new Explorer Sport Trac is sure to follow. It's taken a while (the Explorer last underwent a major redesign for 2002), but this spring we'll see a new Sport Trac. From the B-pillar forward, it's all Explorer, down to the engines--including the Sport Trac's first V-8. Ford's engineers also have added three bins under the Sport Trac's larger, 4.5-foot-long bed, but they're smaller than the much-talked-about trunk in the {{{Honda Ridgeline}}}. Two small bins are located inside the tailgate and another cubby runs the width of the box just behind the cab. In addition to increased utility, the '07 Sport Trac should see improved ride and handling, thanks to its new independent rear suspension, a 16.7-inch-longer wheelbase, and massively improved structural rigidity--up a whopping 444 percent. A supercharged SVT version is due to follow in the next year.
