To be fair, they Chrysler should have called it the Plymouth Ruster.  My family had a Dodge Demon, which was the equivalent.  I think the Rust was the only factory option on the car, which included the Slant-6, rubber floors (no carpet) and a wiper-washer which was controlled by a foot pedal that looked like a toilet plunger.  It was a good car though--I saw it a while back and it was rusted up to the windows, but the Slant-6 was still ticking.
