The Chevrolet and GMC full-size pickups have taken All-Star honors for the fourth year in a row. In the face of ever-stronger competition, the Silverado and the Sierra continue to impress us with their well-rounded personalities, excelling both in their traditional role as work vehicles and in their modern one as car substitutes. Standout features such as Quadrasteer four-wheel steering and any-time four-wheel drive make the Silverado and the Sierra uniquely capable everyday vehicles, while their class-leading powertrains, automatic transmission tow/haul feature, and new composite beds provide the strength for tougher tasks. The wide array of cab, bed, and drivetrain options means that these trucks can be tailored to each buyer's needs. That range of choice grows this year, as GMC's luxurious, range-topping Sierra Denali is joined at Chevrolet by the similarly bold Silverado SS: With a 345-horsepower, 6.0-liter V-8, all-wheel drive, twenty-inch wheels, and lowered suspension, it looks to be another jewel in the crown.
