Mitsuoka Orochi concept
One of Japan's lesser-known automakers (at least to Westerners), Mitsuoka's oddball collection of vehicles were tucked away in a corner of the Makuhari Messe. By far the most striking of them was a sinister-looking black concept called the Orochi, which means "Serpent." The snake-eyed two-seat supercar carries a 3.3-liter V-6 engine mounted behind the passenger compartment. "Small factories hold big dreams," says Mitsuoka president Susumu Mitsuoka. The Orochi certainly is proof of that.
