Three special-edition Aston Martin models will make their debut at this year’s 2014 Geneva auto show next month. The first is a motorsports-inspired Aston Martin V8 Vantage called the N430, and the other two are sinister-looking Aston Martin DB9 versions called the Carbon Black and Carbon White.
The Aston Martin V8 Vantage N430 takes its name from Aston Martin’s “N” series of racing cars, and features an eye-catching two-tone color scheme with bright accents around the front grille opening, the side mirrors, and the roof pillars. The N430 is available in a number of different color combinations that mimic different racing liveries, and the V8 Vantage N430 is also outfitted with dark exterior accents on the wheels, the headlights, the window surrounds, the rear lights, and the tailpipes.
All of this visual excitement isn’t just for show, though, as the V8 Vantage N430’s 4.7-liter V-8 engine gets a 10-hp bump over the standard V8 Vantage, putting the N430 at a total of 430 hp. That puts it even with the V8 Vantage S model, and Aston Martin says that the N430 has lost over 40 lbs thanks to the use of carbon-fiber and Kevlar in the seats, along with the N430’s special lightweight ten-spoke wheels. The N430 is available with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automated manual, and buyers can choose between coupe and roadster versions of this race-inspired Aston Martin.
The Aston Martin DB9 Carbon Black and Carbon White is more of an appearance package, as these models don’t receive any mechanical upgrades and are aimed at creating “visual drama” for Aston’s GT car. Predictably, the Carbon Black DB9 incorporates numerous dark accents throughout the car, with an all-black exterior and interior that sports carbon fiber trim pieces. The Carbon White DB9, on the other hand, is meant to contrast these dark accents with the car’s Stratus White exterior color.
Go ahead and pine away at these special Astons, but neither one of them is coming to the U.S., sadly. Both the V8 Vantage N430 and the DB9 Carbon Black and Carbon White will be on display at the 2014 Geneva auto show.
