This Nissan Juke is already one of the funkiest and most distinctive-looking vehicles on the road today, and a new 2015 Nissan Juke will bow at the 2014 Geneva auto show. Nissan promises that this latest Juke will turn even more heads, and it plans on building anticipation for the refreshed subcompact crossover by slowly revealing its new look with a series of images posted to social media channels.
Nissan’s only teaser for the moment clearly shows the punchy four-door’s familiar profile, with its high beltline and pronounced rear-wheel arches. The Juke’s front and rear, which are obscured by stringy clouds of gilded dust in this teaser, will not unexpectedly demonstrate the biggest changes. We expect new front and rear bumpers, headlights, taillights, and a revised front grille.
No big changes are likely for any of the Nissan Juke’s powertrains, which all employ a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. In the base Juke, the peppy four-banger makes 188 hp, while the uprated Juke Nismo makes a snappier 197 hp. At the top of the range is the Nissan Juke Nismo RS (pictured below), which debuted at last year’s Los Angeles auto show, packing 215 hp and 210 lb-ft of torque under its chunky hood.
Nissan claims the new Juke will be more efficient and practical than before. The current Juke, in base trim with a continuously variable transmission, achieves a 27/32/29 mpg rating city/highway/combined. We’ll have to wait and see until the 2014 Geneva auto show to see exactly how the Japanese automaker plans to improve upon those numbers with its refreshed 2015 Nissan Juke.
