Lexus will reveal an F Sport trim level for its RC350 coupe, which made its first debut at the 2013 Tokyo auto show. Positioned below the performance-spec 2015 Lexus RC F revealed in Detroit, the 2015 Lexus RC350 F Sport will make its debut at the 2014 Geneva auto show on March 4. Lexus will also show a facelifted CT200h F Sport alongside an RC F GT3 racing concept.
The 2015 Lexus RC350 F Sport will join the luxury brand’s expanding lineup of sporty F Sport vehicles. The Lexus IS250, IS350, GS350, LS460, CT200h, and RX350 models all currently offer F Sport treatment. Judging by these existing models, expect the Lexus RC350 F Sport to add stiffer suspension, bigger wheels with low-profile tires, a recalibrated stability control system, and a host of interior and exterior trim upgrades. The 3.5-liter 306-hp V-6 engine will likely remain unchanged from the regular 2015 RC350 (pictured). As of now, Lexus has not announced an F Sport package for the 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid Lexus RC300h.
Many of the RC350 F Sport’s expected styling cues (unique badging, bigger wheels, flared fenders, black-mesh spindle grille) are nods to the high-octane Lexus RC F. The 2015 Lexus RC F debuted at the 2014 Detroit auto show with a 5.0-liter V-8 engine that makes at least 450 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque. Equipped with a long list of upgrades like a track-ready suspension and a performance braking system, it sits atop of Lexus’ luxury stable as the most capable vehicle they currently offer. Lexus looks to give further credence to its performance prowess at the Geneva show by displaying an RC F GT3 racing concept that heralds the brand’s plan to enter the GT3 racing series.
