It is so hard to get excited about Jaguar. They have the worst reliability of ANY of the luxury auto makers offered here in the U.S. So you can create great looking designs and add gobs of power but at the end of the day, no one is going to buy your product unless you direct your attention to reliability. Even Audi makes Jaguar look bad and they are pretty unreliable too. If you are rich, I suggest leasing. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

Did George Bush cut your mail service before he left office? No magazines at the dentist?

Jaguar have been at or near the top of the J.D. Power's Vehicle Dependability Study for years. They came in second in 2005 and they won outright in 2009.

German buyers agree with their American counterparts--Jaguar took first in a quality survey published by German magazine Auto Zeitun in 2006.

You do realise that 60 Minutes story on Audi's purported problems with unintended acceleration was reported during the Reagan Administration? And that Jaguar's former electronics supplier, Lucas Industries, has been out of existence since the Atlanta Olympics?

What's your next piece of advice? Buy an IBM computer?
