Previous Vehicle Frankfurt 2005 Next Vehicle Known in Germany as the Variant, this sleek station wagon version of the recently introduced Passat sedan will go on sale in the United States in February of 2006. Like the sedan, it will be available with both a 197-hp, turbocharged in-line four-cylinder engine mated to a choice of six-speed automatic or manual transmissions, or a new 280-hp 3.6-liter V-6 that's available only with a six-speed Tiptronic automatic.
