Peugeot showed a concept car at the Geneva Show that previewed this new entry, which unfortunately lacks the grace of its predecessor, the gorgeous 406 coupe. Based on the 407 sedan platform, the coupe is available with a 161-hp, 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine, a 208 hp, 3.0-liter V-6, and a 201-hp, 2.7-liter V-6 diesel engine, which may well be the best choice. The front-wheel-drive chassis is lowered and stiffened compared with the sedan.
