This is the first car to come from Fisker Coachbuild, the company formed by Bernhard Koehler and one-time BMW and Aston Martin designer Henrik Fisker. Fisker's idea is to build exotic-looking, limited-production versions of existing cars, much like coachbuilding companies did in the 1920s and 1930s. Hence, the Tramonto is based on a Mercedes-Benz SL. No more than 150 of these cars will be built, and it will be followed by the Latigo coupe based on the BMW 6-series.
