The car looks great, but is not very competitive in the compact segment  with the curb weights and LOW HORSEPOWER numbers. When DODGE wants to get serious with this car by offering  a SRT version with something  over 200hp/200ft-lb then give me a call,  cause I  will not take this car serious sporty wise!!!!     NEXT!!!!

should not call that a dart...this is a horrible car.4 cylinder junk.really this is what your going to do to the dart name?im sure the little 4 banger boys will love it.this car will not make it........

Gorgeous, sexy car; if they retain the excellent chassis dyanmics of the Alfa Romeo on which it's based, it will be one of the best handling cars in the segment.
Again, Fiat is leading Chrysler/Dodge to the promised land of offering excellent automobiles.  Finally, a Dodge I would buy!!!

Not bad looking at all. The back end is especially tidy, but like the Charger I wonder how long the LEDs will last. Are they singly replaceable? Once one goes dead, the car is going to look like crap from behind. The interior looks surprisingly good and well-thought out, except I wonder how many will be broken into to see if someone was sad enough to actually leave an iPad in the glovebox...

Regarding columbiac120's comment the original Dart came with a 6 cylinder automatic and tended to rust away before your eyes, so how id this a bad thing for the Dart name?

"Don't look for a hatchback to counter the Focus, VW Golf, or Subaru Impreza any time soon; Dodge notes the vast majority of the U.S. compact segment is comprised of sedans" Is the management of Chrysler filled with dimwits, hatchbacks today are the hottest segment of the auto market. The American public is sick of useless sedans, hatchbacks are the wheels to own, Chrysler blew it with the new Dart.
