The Ford Expedition isn't selling as well as it used to. More and more people are moving to smaller crossovers or into cars. There are some, however, that really need a full-size SUV for towing heavy trailers or hauling huge amounts of people and stuff. Ford has spiffed up the Expedition for 2007 to appeal more to buyers, but it remains a traditional looking vehicle. So, what if you need the size, but prefer something that looks a bit edgier?
Enter the 2008 Ford Expedition Funkmaster Flex Edition. Using the regular-wheelbase Expedition Limited as a starting point, the Flexpedition, as we like to call it, adds a screaming two-tone paint job and a body kit built by 3d Carbon. Inside, the black leather seats and steering wheel get red stitching to match the center console and exterior color. Features are the same as the regular Expedition Limited. The whole circus rolls on chrome twenty-inchers.
FMF and Ford have created something funky, and the vehicle is sure to garner a love/hate reaction from most people. If your response is leaning toward the "love" end of the spectrum, you'll be glad to know that the Funkmaster Flex Edition will be in dealerships this fall. If not, well, welcome to the club.
