Subaru has decided to show its tiny R1 in Geneva after a successful launch in Japan. The R1, at 1760 pounds, is lighter than a Lotus Elise, but its engine, which produces a mere 54 horsepower, is not even suitable to power a motorcycle. Clearly this efficiency machine was not meant to go fast. The dwarf-sized hatchback may be perfect for scooting through the alleys of Rome, but surely would be swallowed on American expressways. You can be 100 percent certain that this micro will never be on sale in the US market.
