The Peugeot 407 Prologue is a coupe version of the 407, which is already on sale in both sedan and wagon form. Shown here as a concept, the Prologue is extremely similar to the forthcoming production 407 coupe. Unlike its Pininfarina-designed 406 predecessor, the Prologue is an in-house design, and the catlike body and nineteen-inch wheels are complemented by a beautiful interior of red leather, aluminum, and deep black lacquer touches, as well as lovely chronograph gauges.
The concept's suspension is borrowed from the production car, and a Porsche Tiptronic six-speed puts the power to the ground. Under the hood one will find a 2.7-liter, twin-turbo V-6 jointly developed with Ford. The 200-hp engine is presently being used in European Jaguar S-Types and Land Rover Discoveries (our LR3).
