2004 Pagani Zonda Spyder

Front Right View

Horacio Pagani's Modena, Italy, company has been acknowledged by a number of European magazines as the builder of the world's best supercar. Now, thirty-two Zonda coupes later, Pagani has released a roadster version. Like the coupe, it uses an AMG Mercedes-Benz V-12 displacing 7291 cc and makes a most healthful 547 horsepower and 554 pound-feet of torque. The carbon-fiber chassis remains, as does the beautifully wrought interior. The roof is a simple panel that is stowed in the front compartment, so you will get wet if you get caught in a sudden rainstorm. Pagani claims the droptop Zonda will reach 62 mph from rest in just 3.7 seconds. The price of owning one of the most exotic cars on the road is equally exotic: 481,000 Euros, a little over half a million dollars.
BOTTOM LINE: Exclusivity, thy name is Zonda.
