Maserati continues to grow its brand with the four-door Quattroporte. When it goes on sale in Italy next year, the Quattroporte will be the largest Italian car available and in the same league as the Mercedes-Benz S-class and the BMW 7-series. Maserati hopes that buyers will see their four-door as a soulful alternative to the German barges. Maserati's close partner, Ferrari, helped develop a new V-8, which will propel the Quattroporte to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds.
