The Concept R is an exceptionally handsome roadster show car upon which Volkswagen hung a wholly optimistic $25,000 price tag. Powering the R is a mid-mounted, 265-horsepower version of Vee-Dub's 3.2-liter narrow-angle V-6 engine (as seen in the Golf-based R32 and the Audi TT 3.2 Quattro) flipped 180 degrees around to drive the rear wheels. If it makes it to production, this little confection could become the poor man's Porsche Boxster. We can only hope.
