With the fine-driving but stylistically challenged BMW 5-series now carving up roads worldwide, it was high time for Audi to check in with a new A6. The company's middle child has been reinvented from bumper to bumper for 2005larger, leaner, and more user-friendly than before. Like the new A8L 6.0 Quattro, the A6 shows off Audi's new wide-mouth corporate face. When the car arrives in the States late this year, it will offer a new, 3.2-liter gasoline-direct-injection V-6 producing 255 horsepower, or the compact 4.2-liter V-8 that debuted in the S4, good for a stout 335 horses. Both engines will pair up with a six-speed Tiptronic manu-matic gearbox and Quattro all-wheel drive.
