Hot on the heels of Aston's DB9 coupe, unveiled at this year's
Frankfurt motor show, comes an artful new convertible model.
Here's a quick glimpse of the Volante before its official debut
at the 2004 North American International Auto Show in January.
The Volante employs the same 5.9-liter V-12 as the DB9 coupe (bottom). Producing 450-horsepower at 6000 rpm and 420 pound-feet of torque at 5000 rpm, the engine such be sufficient to push the Volante to 60 mph in less than 5.0 seconds and on to a top speed in excess of 180 mph.
