2011 Nissan Murano

2011 Nissan Murano Review

(4 Stars)  Entertaining, stylish, and sporty crossover

Reviewed by Automotive on

Overview
The Murano is one of the first in the true crossover segment. It offers seating for five people. The V-6 engine offers plenty of power for a vehicle of this site and the CVT is well executed and especially suited to the engine, offering quick throttle response. The Murano launched in 2003 and came out in its second generation trim in 2009. The new model retains the over the top styling of the original. It also features multi link rear suspension and stiff chassis making it a strong handling vehicle with a very forgiving ride.

The Murano is no slouch in the power department either. Driven through either front wheel drive or all wheel drive available as an option. It's 3.5 liter V-6 generates an impressive 265 Hp and 248 Ft. – Lbs. of torque. This is enough to take an All Wheel Drive equipped Murano from 0-60 miles per hour in 7.8 seconds. The Murano is able to return a somewhat middling 20mpg combined fuel economy.

The Murano features an impressive option list such as Xenon Headlights, one of the best IPod docks available, a rear view camera and a roof mounted DVD system are just a few of those available.
