2011 acura rdx Reviews and News

2011 Acura RDX
2011 Acura RDX
Making its debut in 2007 the Acura RDX has become a very high profile vehicle that has been getting a lot of attention from the American consumer. This SUV that is technically in the entry level price range offers a high level of features and performance for its price. There have been many changes since it was first released in 2007, the 2010 model now comes in a front wheel drive version that offers a considerable discount to the consumer.

The newer RDX also offers a slight advantage when it comes to mileage. The 2WD version offers a 2 mile per gallon gain, but still requires the owner to fill it with premium gasoline. The 2010 Acura RDX is one of strongest in its class and is competing with models that are much more expensive. This supercharged SUV brings a lot of value and a huge amount of features to the table. Seating up to five passengers, this unibody SUV has many options and features that you would expect to find on a high end passenger car, but the Acura RDX comes complete with all the extras.
2012 Honda Fit Sport Rear Three Quarters
Honda today has announced changes for the 2012 Fit, but don't expect any major revisions for the new model year. For 2012 Honda blessed the Fit Sport with slightly more aggressive styling inside and out, and given all Fit models an updated interior and content.

Exactly five years after I first drove the Acura RDX, I find that it is not aging well. The turbocharged engine delivers decent power, but it's not linear in its delivery, and the five-speed automatic is a dated device. The ride-and-handling balance is ho-hum, and the suspension crashes over bumps. The steering is dead on-center. There's a distinct lack of a "premium" feeling to the RDX, especially when compared with the newer entries in this segment like the Volvo XC60, the Audi Q5, the Mercedes-Benz GLK, and the BMW X3. Heck, there are small crossovers from non-premium brands that feel more of-a-piece than the RDX does, like the Chevy Equinox, the Hyundai Santa Fe, and the Volkswagen Tiguan. The RDX is definitely overdue for a re-do.

Five years. That may not seem like a long time, but in the automotive industry, it's almost an eternity -- especially if a model sees no revisions in that period. Mid-cycle refreshes usually occur two or three years after an initial product launch. Double that timeframe and automakers are typically in the throes of replacing the previous model with a significantly new product.
